Putting a cat into the downpipe will in 99% of cases let you pass mot.. Some have gotten away with putting one in the center/cat pipe (which is easier to swap out come MOT time) but not all cars get away with just this one..

Think it depends on the garage doing mot , bribery is an option :icon_pray:

Tried that mate, the guy said there was a new thing came out at the start of january so there was no chance on getting me passed.

This is gonna be a mega grey area - what if a cat has the center knocked out it - what if an owner claims the pipe has a cat in it? What if you've never seen that model of car before - how would you know where a cat should be? If it passes the emissions test (which it wouldn't without one) what do you do - we were trained to give the presenter the benefit of the doubt in difficult situations and 'pass and advise'

I'm on a refresher next week so it's gonna be interesting to see what they say about this and other questionable items!
